(March 6, 2025, Edmonton, AB) – Connect First and Servus Credit Union Ltd. announced at their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on March 5, 2025, the election of four members to its Board of Directors. Each candidate has been elected to a three-year term. New Directors Allison Radford, Justin Jimmy and Margot Ross-Graham join incumbent Shawn Eltom, who was up for re-election this year. Directors were elected from a slate of eight candidates by eligible member-owners.

They come from diverse backgrounds and bring a depth of expertise that will enhance the governance work done by our board to ensure our members are well served. I know that they, along with existing board members, will provide strong and effective governance oversight, create value for our stakeholders, and enhance the credit union way of banking for all Albertans," says Perry Dooley, Chair of Servus's Board of Directors.

Dooley will remain Board Chair and current Vice Chair Andrew Eberl will remain in his role until after the 2026 AGM.

In their first meeting after the AGM, the Directors chosen to lead committees were:

  • Audit and Finance Committee – Doug Bristow
  • Governance and Human Resources Committee – Danielle Ghai
  • Enterprise Risk Management Committee – Darlene Harris
  • Nominating Committee – Shawn Eltom
  • Representing Servus on the Board of Alberta Central will be Darlene Harris, Doug Bristow and Shawn Eltom. Ian Burns, Michelle Belland, and Randy Allarie will serve as management representatives.

Joining the recently elected Directors on the Board are current Directors Amy Corrigan, Andrew Eberl, Danielle Ghai, Darlene Harris, Doug Bristow, Greg Nakonechny, Perry Dooley, and Shannon Rennie. Departing Directors are Kelso Brennan, Adil Lalani and Carey Taubert.

Subject to eligibility criteria set out in the Alberta Credit Union Act and the Servus Credit Union bylaws, all Connect First and Servus Credit Union member-owners can participate in the Board election by applying to run for the Board and by voting for candidates.
