    The 2026 Board Election runs from January 12 to January 30, 2026. Cast your vote anytime during this period and help shape the future of Servus Credit Union. Unlike traditional banks, every member is also an owner—meaning you’re not just a customer, you’re a shareholder with a voice in guiding our credit union.

    Why vote?

    The Board is democratically elected by Servus members, ensuring leadership reflects the values, priorities, and voices of the people we serve.  Casting your vote in the annual Board of Directors election is your chance to shape the future of Servus, helping ensure our leadership aligns with member priorities and values. 
 

    Role and Importance of the Board  

    Strategic direction, long-term priorities, and effective oversight, all essential to the success of our credit union, are guided by the Board of Directors. Their stewardship helps safeguard financial health and sustainability, while ensuring continued focus on delivering meaningful value to members and communities.

    Meet the candidates

    This year, there are four (4) open Board positions, each for three-year terms.
    You can vote for up to four candidates.  

    Take a moment to get to know the candidates, watch their videos to hear directly from them in their own words, and read their bios to learn about their experience and qualifications. While the Board considers their full range of competencies, there is particular emphasis on candidates with strengths in:

    Innovation & Artificial Intelligence (AI) 

    Expertise in innovation and AI helps Servus stay ahead of emerging technologies, improving services and creating new ways to deliver value to members. 

    IT / Digital / Data  Governance

    IT, digital, and data governance expertise ensures member information is protected, digital services run smoothly, and data is used responsibly to enhance the member experience.

    Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)

    ESG expertise guides Servus in operating responsibly, supporting communities, and making decisions that balance financial strength with positive social and environmental impact.

    Board competency snapshot

    This shows the current mix of skills and experience across the 8 of 12 current directors serving on the board, based on self-assessments, who are not up for re-election or retiring at the end of term (March 2026). The Board provides oversight and strategic direction, and a diverse mix of skills and perspectives is intentional to support effective governance.     How to cast your vote

    Voting is quick, secure, and fully online.

    Note: For members without access to a computer or mobile device, tablets are available in all branches to help make voting easy and accessible. If you have any questions or need assistance, we’re here to help. 

    Voting for Servus members

    Step 1: Get Your Unique Voting ID

    Servus members can obtain their unique Voting ID through Servus Online Banking using a web browser. Don't have Online Banking? Contact the Servus Member Contact Centre at 1-877-378-8728 or visit a branch to get your Voting ID.

    1. Sign in to Servus Online Banking using a browser on your desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone (the mobile app does not support voting)
    2. From the menu, select More, then choose Director Voting
    3. On the Director Voting page, copy your unique Voting ID

    Step 2: Cast Your Vote

    Once you have your Voting ID, you're ready to vote.

    1. Select Cast Your Vote to go to the secure voting site
    2. Enter your Voting ID and the Credit Union Code.
    3. Choose your candidate(s) and submit your ballot

    Once submitted, your vote cannot be changed.

    If you don't have Online Banking, are having trouble accessing your Voting ID, or have questions about your eligibility, contact the Servus Member Contact Centre at 1-877-378-8728 or visit any Servus branch for assistance.

    Voting for former connectFirst members

    Important: If you are a former connectFirst member with a Servus Mastercard, you also hold a common share with Servus and are considered a Servus member. Please follow the Servus member voting steps to cast your vote.

    Step 1: Confirm Your Eligibility

    Former connectFirst members confirm eligibility online before voting. Use the form below:

    1. Select your membership type
    2. Enter your member number and postal code so we can securely verify your membership
    3. Don't know your member number? Sign in to Online Banking and go to account details of any of your accounts
    4. Submit the form to confirm your eligibility

    If you're eligible, you'll receive an email with your unique Voting ID and instructions for the next step. If you don't see it within a few minutes, check your junk or spam folder.

    Step 2: Cast Your Vote

    Once you receive your Voting ID, you're ready to vote.

    1. Select the Vote Now link in your email or go to the secure voting site
    2. Enter your Voting ID and the Credit Union Code
    3. Choose your candidate(s) and submit your ballot

    Once submitted, your vote cannot be changed.

    Voting for Servus members

    Voting and eligibility information

    General voting eligibility

    Eligibility
    You must be 18 years or older and hold a common share with Servus or former connectFirst as of October 31, 2025.

    Number of Votes:
    Each member may vote once. If you are also a designated representative of an organization, you may cast one personal vote and an organizational vote. 

    Joint Memberships:
    Each person on a joint membership may vote, provided they have not already voted on another personal membership. There must be at least one common share for each voting member on the joint account. Once all votes tied to common shares are cast, no additional votes will be permitted on that membership.

    Business Memberships:
    Trustees, corporations, partnerships, and associations are allowed one vote, submitted by their designated representative. If an individual is the designated representative for more than one business membership, they may cast a vote for each applicable membership.

     

    Dual membership voting information

    Personal (Servus and former connectFirst) 

    If you have personal memberships with both Servus and former connectFirst, you only need to vote once. Please follow the Servus member voting steps to cast your ballot.

    Business (Servus and former connectFirst)

    If your business holds memberships with both Servus and former connectFirst, the business is eligible for one vote. To vote, the designated business representative must contact the Servus Member Contact Centre at 1-877-378-8728 or visit a Servus branch to receive voting credentials.

    Personal and Business

    If you hold both a personal membership and a business membership, each membership is entitled to one vote. Simply follow the voting steps for each membership type.
