They work as a team to serve and represent our more than half a million members with a laser focus on setting up our credit union for the future and providing value to our membership and communities.

Our Board of Director’s Call for Candidates run from August 25 to September 19, 2025. Members interested in serving on the board are encouraged to submit their application during this period.
The Board of Directors plays a critical role in shaping the future of Servus Credit Union.

Commitment & Eligibility
Serving on the Board is a paid position, and directors serve three-year terms.

The commitment includes monthly board meetings, committee work, and ongoing education.

The Board typically meets five times per year, in addition to one annual 2–3-day planning session. Committee meetings are held throughout the year and may occur outside of regular board meetings. Ad hoc meetings may also be called if needed.

To be eligible to run for the Board, members must have joined the credit union on or before March 5, 2025, and must be in good standing.

Each year, the Board identifies priority skills and experiences that will support our evolving strategic needs. For the 2026 election, the Board will consider the full set of board competencies, but is placing particular emphasis on candidates with strengths in:

Application and Selection Process

Applications are submitted online via the Candidate Application Package

Candidates self-assess board-level competencies including governance and financial literacy.

Once a member has submitted their Candidate Application Package, the following steps will take place:

The Nominations Committee will review all applications and determine which applicants will be invited to an interview for further consideration. This process is supported by an independent HR recruitment professional to help ensure a fair and robust assessment.

Candidates selected for further consideration will be invited to interviews, which will take place October 28-30.

The final list of candidates will be confirmed by the Board by November 12.

Online voting runs for three weeks starting January 2026.

Final candidates will be featured in election materials to assist voters.

Results announced at the March 2026 Annual General Meeting.

This is a paid governance role, with compensation provided in recognition of the time, expertise, and accountability required to fulfill board responsibilities.
