    Meet your Board of Directors

    The Board of Directors is elected by you, our member-owners. It is made up of 12 Directors from around the province and is responsible for ensuring that Servus has strong, effective governance oversight, and that the organization creates and maintains value for its stakeholders while serving the needs of members and their communities. This is accomplished using a governance model and is done in accordance with the Credit Union Act and Servus Credit Union bylaws.

    Perry Dooley

    Perry is a successful entrepreneur and governance professional with over 30 years’ experience in business, financial services leadership and board governance. He believes in organizational purpose, culture and diversity with passion for corporate strategy, leadership and organizational sustainability. He is currently board chair of Servus Credit Union and previous board chair of Alberta Central. 

    Andrew Eberl

    Andrew and his wife Brenda operate a cattle ranch near Claresholm, Alberta. He has been a dedicated credit union member for over 50 years and is passionate about cooperative banking. Andrew was first elected to the board of Macleod Savings & Credit Union in 2003. He has received his CUDA governance designation and his CCD and ICD.D 

    Shawn Eltom

    Shawn is an experienced business owner and governance professional with a strong background in retail operations and financial oversight. He owns and operates a high-volume IGA franchise in Banff, leading a large team in a fast-paced and highly seasonal market. Shawn brings valuable board experience, having served on credit union committees including Audit and Finance, Enterprise Risk Management, and Governance. He holds the ICD.D designation and is passionate about effective governance, strategic decision-making, and delivering long-term value to members and stakeholders. 

    Danielle Ghai

    Danielle is a legal and policy expert with passion for community and social justice. She holds degrees in Law, English (Honours), and a certification in immigration laws and policies, ICD.D designation and Competent Boards global designation in ESG and sustainability (GCB.d). She brings to the board table a strong foundation in reading, writing, critical analysis, understanding of law and policy. 

    Justin Jimmy

    Justin is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. Justin brings 10+ years of board and executive experience including roles as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Board Director, Advisor, and corporate Trustee. Justin manages his professional accounting firm offering accounting services, facilitation & workshops in accounting, strategy, and governance. Justin is also a licensed commercial pilot and flight instructor out of Red Deer. 

    Darlene Harris

    Darlene is a credit union member of more than 38 years and a Shell Canada retiree with extensive merger and acquisition experience. She also sits on two other boards: Alberta Central Credit Union and Topaz Energy. Darlene has a Chartered Professional Accounting designation, the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D) designation and has completed Level B of the Credit Union Director accreditation program. 

    Allison Radford

    Allison is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. She has more than 20 years of board and executive leadership experience and approaches governance with an emphasis on strong ethical standards and values that align with her dedication to community, inclusion, and member service. She is actively involved in the community as Chair of the Edmonton Humane Society. 

    Margot Ross-Graham

    Margot is a seasoned executive leader with over 30 years of experience in the areas of business transformation, organization design and Human Resources. As owner of Sandbar she also provides governance consulting support to member-driven organizations. Margot is Certified Director (C Dir) and serves the board of Fortis Alberta. She is passionate about advocacy, governance, and activating exceptional cultures to support organizations to achieve their mission. 

    Doug Bristow

    Doug brings 15 years of experience working with financial institutions, where he has served in senior roles, including Chief of Internal Audit, Asst. Vice President of Finance, and Vice President and Controller. He is a partner at Aplin (a national recruitment firm) and a Chartered Professional Accountant. 

    Greg Nakonechny

    Greg is a lawyer, qualified to practice in Alberta and New York, with in excess of 25 years’ experience.  His practice has focused on corporate law, consumer financing, regulatory compliance, financial institutions and corporate governance of private and public enterprises. Greg currently serves as chief legal officer and corporate secretary for a national retailer. 

    Shannon Rennie

    Shannon is the Vice President, Legal for H&R Block Canada, Inc. overseeing legal strategy, regulatory compliance and government relations at a national level.  Before joining H&R Block, she spent more than 12 years as General Counsel for Alberta Central where she gained extensive expertise in credit union legislation and governance practices across the credit union system.  She has recently completed her ICD.D designation, further strengthening her commitment to board excellence and effective oversight. 

    Fan Pfeifer

    Fan is a Chartered Director and seasoned technology executive with more than 25 years of experience leading digital and data transformation in regulated industries. She has guided organizations through complex modernization initiatives while balancing innovation with strong governance and risk oversight. Fan is passionate about responsible technology, mentorship, and helping organizations grow in ways that are inclusive, sustainable, and member-focused.
