Nicknames, sometimes called account descriptions, make it easier to identify your various accounts and products. The names you assign will show throughout online and mobile banking, instant balance and on your account statement.
Nicknames can be anything you want and you can add them to a variety of items:
- Chequing and savings accounts
- Bill payees
- Member Cards
- Term deposits
You can add nicknames to your accounts in online banking or you can call us or visit a branch. Access online banking using the Sign In link at the top of this page.
Account nicknames help centre
- Sign in to online banking.
- Select Self Serve and then "Nickname my accounts" under the Display Preferences section (or use the quick link on the account summary page).
- Enter a nickname in the box beside the item that you want to change. When you're done, click Save.
Your nicknames will appear anytime your account, loan, Member Card, term deposit or bill payee names are used in online and mobile banking. Nicknames will also appear on your account statement.
Yes. You have complete control over the nicknames that you create. You can add, delete and change your nicknames as often as you like using online banking.
Who will see the nicknames I have chosen?
The nicknames you create will appear throughout online and mobile banking. The nicknames for chequing and savings accounts, loans and term deposits will also appear on your account statement. You can refer to your accounts by their nicknames when you visit a Servus branch too. Our employees will be able to see the nicknames when they're helping you with a transaction.
Can I manage nicknames from mobile banking?
The account nicknames service is currently only available in online banking.
