    About the banking system conversion

    Since connectFirst Credit Union and Servus Credit Union came together, we have continued to operate two banking systems while preparing to bring them together. The banking system conversion is the planned move to one shared banking system. The change will take place over a single conversion weekend. Some banking services will be temporarily unavailable while the systems are brought together.

    The credit unions have already come together as one organization, but member accounts and services have continued to operate on two separate banking systems. Bringing the systems together is another important step in completing the integration.

    Operating on one banking system will create a more consistent foundation for serving members across Servus. Once the conversion is complete, employees will be able to support members more consistently across the expanded branch network, and Servus will be better positioned to provide a more connected banking experience over time.

    The impact depends on how you bank today. Former connectFirst members will see changes as their accounts, debit cards and digital banking move to Servus systems. Existing Servus members will continue using their current accounts and products, but some banking services will be temporarily unavailable during conversion weekend. If you have both Servus and former connectFirst accounts, the changes to former connectFirst banking will apply to that part of your relationship and some details may work differently for you.

    Yes. Your money will remain safe and secure throughout the conversion.

    No. Accounts and products affected by the conversion will move automatically. Former connectFirst members do not need to open replacement accounts or reapply for existing loans, mortgages or lines of credit because of the conversion. Some accounts, features, fees or ways of banking will work differently afterward.

    When conversion weekend will take place

    We are sharing information now so members have time to understand what is changing and what they may need to do. We will share the conversion dates at least two weeks ahead through e-mail, our website and other communications channels. Please make sure your contact info is up to date to ensure your receive this notification.

    The best place to find the latest information is Servus.ca/BankingUpdates. We recommend bookmarking the page and checking it as conversion weekend approaches. It will be updated when the dates are confirmed and will include the service schedule, preparation information and any actions you may need to take. We'll also be sending periodic email updates to help members prepare. Please ensure your contact information is up to date.

    If you do not have internet access, you can visit any Servus branch or contact our Member Contact Centre for the latest information.

    Preparing for conversion weekend

    For all members: before conversion weekend begins

    Complete any bill payments, transfers or other time sensitive banking that cannot wait until services are available again.

    Withdraw enough cash to cover usual and unexpected expenses.

    Have a credit card available. This could be your Servus Mastercard®, or any credit card you use.

    Bookmark Servus.ca/BankingUpdates and check it frequently before, during and after conversion weekend for the latest confirmed information.

    Your Servus Member Card® is expected to work throughout conversion weekend. Even with careful preparation, having a backup way to pay means you are covered for any unexpected issues.

    If you have used your connectFirst Visa® Debit Card

    If you used your connectFirst Visa® Debit Card at least once between August 2025 and August 24, 2026, and Servus had your current mailing address, you can expect to receive a new Servus Member Card® in the mail before conversion.

    Keep the new card in a safe place.

    Continue using your connectFirst Visa® Debit Card until conversion weekend begins.

    During conversion weekend, your connectFirst Visa® Debit Card will stop working and your new Servus Member Card® is expected to take its place.

    Do not destroy your connectFirst Visa® Debit Card until Servus confirms that you no longer need it.

    Some banking services will be temporarily unavailable while the banking systems are brought together. Check Servus.ca/BankingUpdates frequently during conversion weekend for the latest confirmed information.

    Branches: All Servus branches will close at 4 p.m. on Friday and remain closed Saturday and Sunday of conversion weekend. Regular branch hours are expected to resume the following Monday morning.

    Online and mobile banking: Servus online banking and the Servus mobile app will be temporarily unavailable. connectFirst online and mobile banking will become unavailable. After conversion, members who currently use connectFirst online and mobile banking will use Servus online banking and the Servus mobile app. While these services are unavailable, members will not be able to sign in to view balances or transactions.

    Payments and transfers: While online and mobile banking is unavailable, members will not be able to send or receive Interac e-Transfers®, make bill payments, transfer money between accounts, or initiate other transactions through online or mobile banking. Payments and deposits already scheduled during conversion weekend are expected to be processed when the banking systems are available again.

    Cards and ATMs: Servus Member Cards® for purchases and ATM withdrawals, all ATMs across our full branch network for cash withdrawals (balance checks will not be available while banking systems are unavailable), and Servus Mastercard® credit cards are all expected to remain available. We recommend having a backup way to make payments and purchases in case you experience an unexpected issue.

    Member Contact Centre: The Member Contact Centre will remain open 24/7 during conversion weekend. The team can answer questions and share updates but will not be able to process transactions until systems are back online. If your accounts have always been with Servus, call 1.877.378.8728. If your accounts were originally with connectFirst, call 1.866.923.4778.

    We will update Servus.ca/BankingUpdates throughout conversion weekend as banking services become available.

    Services may become available at different times. Before trying to sign in, make a payment or complete another transaction, check the page to confirm that the service you need is available. We will also send an email when banking services fully resume.

    The Member Contact Centre will also remain open 24 hours a day and can provide the latest available information, although its ability to access accounts and process transactions will be limited while banking systems are unavailable.

    Accounts, member information, fees and statements

    Chequing and savings accounts originally with connectFirst will move automatically to the Servus accounts that best match how members bank today. Account balances will also transfer automatically.

    Your new account may have a different name, features, transaction limits, minimum-balance requirements or fees. You do not need to take any action before conversion. After conversion, you are encouraged to review your new account. If another Servus account would better suit your needs, contact us and we will help you review your options.

    After conversion, you are encouraged to review your new account, including its features, transaction limits, minimum-balance requirements and fees.

    If another Servus account would better suit your needs, contact us. We will help you find the right account.

    Some account-plan fees and fees charged for specific services will change as accounts and services originally with connectFirst move to the Servus fee structure. The amount that applies will depend on the account, service and transaction involved. See the applicable account and fee information for details.

    Yes. If you have a membership originally with connectFirst, that membership will receive a new Servus member number as part of the conversion.

    Your member number identifies your membership with Servus. It is different from the account numbers associated with your chequing and savings accounts.

    After conversion, you will be able to find your new member number in Servus online and mobile banking and on your Servus statements. If you call us or visit a branch, our team can also locate your member number after confirming your identity.

    Chequing and savings accounts originally with connectFirst will receive new Servus account numbers as part of the conversion.

    You will be able to find your new account numbers in Servus online and mobile banking and on your first statement after conversion. If you call us or visit a branch, our team can also locate your account information after confirming your identity.

    Existing cheques, direct deposits and pre-authorized debits linked to your former connectFirst account information will automatically redirect to your new Servus account. After conversion, use your new Servus account information when setting up new arrangements.

    Some memberships originally with connectFirst may show a different home branch on their statements after conversion because membership information is organized differently in the Servus banking system.

    This does not change where you can bank or which Servus branches you can visit.

    After conversion, statements for accounts originally with connectFirst will use the Servus statement format. You may notice these changes:

    • Personal statements for accounts originally with connectFirst were generally produced on the 17th of the month.
    • Servus personal statements are produced on the 21st, so your statement may be available later in the month than you are used to.
    How accounts are grouped: Accounts with the same ownership structure will be grouped together on one statement. For example, accounts you own individually may appear together, while accounts held with a different joint owner may appear on a separate statement. If you currently receive several statements, you may receive fewer after conversion.
    Account and product names: Some accounts and products will appear under their new Servus names.
    Statement layout: Information will be organized and displayed in the Servus statement format, so some details may appear in a different place than they did on your connectFirst statement.
    Electronic statement notifications: Members who receive eStatements will receive a notification when a new statement is available.

    Business statements will continue to be produced at month end. If you currently receive paper statements, you are expected to continue receiving paper statements. If you currently receive eStatements, you are not expected to need to register again, and you will receive a notification when a new statement is available. These statement changes do not affect your account balances, ownership or access.

    You will receive a final connectFirst statement showing activity recorded before your accounts move to the Servus banking system. Your first Servus-format statement will begin with activity recorded after the move. Together, the statements are intended to provide a continuous record of your account activity through conversion.

    Previous connectFirst statements will remain available after conversion. If you need a copy, contact us or visit any Servus branch and we will help you retrieve it.

    These statements will be available in accordance with our records-retention requirements.

    GICs and Term Deposits

    Your GIC or term deposit will move automatically to the Servus banking system. Your principal, interest rate, remaining term and ownership will stay the same for the remainder of the current term.

    You do not need to reopen or renegotiate it, and no action is required for it to move.

    You may notice a different product name in Servus online and mobile banking or on your statement. A different name or presentation does not change the terms of your existing GIC or term deposit.

    If you do not provide instructions before your GIC matures, it will automatically renew into the same type and term, where available, at the rate in effect on the renewal date.

    If the same product is no longer available, your GIC may renew into a comparable product. If no comparable product is available, it will renew into a one-year redeemable GIC.

    If you would prefer a different term or another available option, contact us before your GIC matures. You can visit any branch or call the Member Contact Centre to discuss your options.

    After conversion, you will be able to renew eligible GICs and open eligible non-registered GICs through Servus online and mobile banking.

    Loans and
    mortgages

    Your loan will move automatically to the Servus banking system. You do not need to reapply for or renegotiate your loan because of the conversion.

    For the remainder of your current loan term, the following are expected to remain the same:

    • Your outstanding balance.
    • Your current interest rate.
    • Your remaining term.
    • Your scheduled payment amount and frequency.

    Your loan may appear under a different product name or account number in Servus online and mobile banking and on your statement.

    Your mortgage will move automatically to the Servus banking system. You do not need to reapply for or renegotiate your mortgage because of the conversion.

    For the remainder of your current mortgage term, the following are expected to remain the same:

    • Your outstanding principal balance.
    • Your current interest rate.
    • Your remaining term.
    • Your scheduled payment amount and frequency.

    Your mortgage may appear under a different product name or account number in Servus online and mobile banking and on your statement.

    After conversion, if we do not receive your renewal instructions before your mortgage matures, your mortgage will automatically move into a one-year open mortgage term.

    Review the renewal information you receive and provide your instructions before the maturity date if you want to choose another available term.

    If your mortgage has already moved into the one-year open term, contact us to discuss the renewal options available to you.

    Lines of Credit

    Your Line of Credit originally with connectFirst will move automatically to an account on the Servus banking system. The account it moves to will depend on the type of Line of Credit you have:

    • Your Personal Line of Credit will move to a Servus Personal Line of Credit account.
    • Your Business Line of Credit will move to a Servus Business Line of Credit account.
    • Your RRSP Line of Credit will move to a Servus RRSP Line of Credit account.
    • Your Student Line of Credit will move to a Servus Student Line of Credit account.

    You do not need to apply for the new account or take action for your balance and approved credit limit to transfer.

    The accounts created through conversion may have different features, transaction options and fees from other Servus credit products with similar names. The information in the questions below explains how your Line of Credit will work after conversion.

    Your outstanding balance will transfer automatically to your Line of Credit on the Servus banking system.

    Your approved credit limit will stay the same. You can continue to borrow, repay and borrow again, according to the access rules that apply to your type of Line of Credit.

    The standard interest rate that applies to your Line of Credit will not change at conversion.

    If your balance exceeds your approved credit limit, An over-limit interest rate of 31% per year will apply to the portion of your balance above your approved credit limit.

    How interest is charged to your Line of Credit will change. Today, your monthly interest may be withdrawn from another account on your chosen payment date. After conversion, interest will be added directly to your Line of Credit balance at the end of each month.

    Your required payment will be interest-only and will be due on the first day of the following month. You can continue to make additional payments at any time to reduce your principal balance.

    Because the interest charge will be added to your balance, your balance will increase until you make a payment. If the interest charge puts your balance above your approved credit limit, the over-limit interest rate will apply to the amount above your limit.

    Depending on how you make payments today, you may need to update your payment arrangement after conversion. After conversion, review your payment arrangement to make sure it continues to meet your needs. If you would like to make any changes, you may call or visit a branch after conversion.

    A small number of business members have customized payment arrangements that require additional changes. Servus will contact affected members directly and explain what they need to do.

    How you access your available credit will depend on the type of Line of Credit you have.

    Personal and Business Lines of Credit

    You can access or repay your Line of Credit by:

    • Transferring money to or from another eligible Servus account through online or mobile banking;
    • Scheduling a future or recurring transfer;
    • Depositing money directly to your Line of Credit;
    • Arranging automatic funds transfers;
    • Writing cheques from your Line of Credit; or
    • Visiting a Servus branch for help.

    You cannot use your Line of Credit directly for:

    • Debit card purchases;
    • ATM withdrawals;
    • Interac e-Transfer®s;
    • Self-serve bill payments, including government and AGLC payments; or
    • Mobile cheque deposits.

    To use your available credit for one of these transactions, first transfer the amount you need from your Line of Credit to an eligible Servus account. You can then complete the transaction from that account.

    RRSP and Student Lines of Credit

    How you request funds will not change. Advances will continue to be arranged through your advisor.

    No. Your former connectFirst Line of Credit will move to its new account separately. It will not automatically combine with a Line of Credit you already have at Servus. The accounts may have different features, fees and transaction options, even if their names are similar.

    After conversion, contact us if you would like to review your accounts and discuss your options. Any changes would be subject to the terms and approval requirements that apply at that time.

    Debit cards

    Your connectFirst Visa® Debit Card is being replaced with a Servus Member Card®, which is a Debit Mastercard®. Your Servus Member Card® will have a new card number.

    Continue using your connectFirst Visa® Debit Card until conversion weekend begins. During conversion weekend, your connectFirst Visa® Debit Card will stop working and your new Servus Member Card® is expected to take its place.

    Keep both cards until Servus confirms that your new Servus Member Card® is ready to use and that you no longer need your connectFirst Visa® Debit Card. Do not destroy either card before then.

    You can expect to receive a Servus Member Card® by mail before conversion if you used your connectFirst Visa® Debit Card at least once between August 2025 and August 24, 2026, and Servus had your current mailing address when replacement cards were prepared.

    You may not receive a card through the initial mailing if:

    You did not use your connectFirst Visa® Debit Card during that period;

    Servus did not have your current mailing address;

    Your current card can only be used to make deposits; or

    You received your current connectFirst Visa® Debit Card after the replacement cards were ordered.

    Not receiving a card through the initial mailing does not mean you are no longer eligible for one. After conversion, you can get a Servus Member Card® at any Servus branch or contact the Member Contact Centre to request one by mail.

    Keep your Servus Member Card® and the letter that came with it in a safe place.

    Check that the name on the card is correct. Contact us if something does not look right.

    Follow the activation instructions included with your Servus Member Card®.

    Once Servus confirms that your card is ready, complete a transaction using the card’s chip and your PIN at an ATM or a payment terminal. Your first successful chip-and-PIN transaction will activate the card. You can then use tap and other supported card features.

    Your Servus Member Card® is expected to use the PIN associated with your former connectFirst Visa® Debit card when the replacement-card information was prepared.

    If you changed your PIN after that information was prepared, your Servus Member Card® may use your previous PIN.

    After conversion, visit a Servus branch if:
    • Your PIN does not work;
    • You do not remember your PIN; or
    • You want to change your PIN.

    Your daily purchase and ATM withdrawal limits may be different from the limits on your former connectFirst Visa® Debit card.

    After conversion, review your limits before making a large purchase or withdrawal. If your limits do not meet your needs, contact us to have them reviewed.

    Call the Member Contact Centre immediately if:

    • Your Servus Member Card® is lost or stolen;
    • You notice a transaction you do not recognize; or
    • You think someone else may have your card information.

    We can secure your card and arrange a replacement if needed

    Yes. If a recurring payment is charged to the 16-digit number on your former connectFirst Visa® Debit card, you will need to give the business your new Servus Member Card® number after your new card is ready to use.

    This may include subscriptions, memberships or other recurring purchases charged directly to your card number.

    You do not need to update pre-authorized debits set up using your bank account information. Those payments are connected to your account rather than your Visa® Debit card number.

    Yes. Your Servus Member Card® will not automatically replace your former connectFirst Visa® Debit card in your mobile wallet.

    After conversion, add your Servus Member Card® to your mobile wallet. Keep your former connectFirst Visa® Debit card in your wallet until we confirm that you no longer need it.

    Your former connectFirst Visa® Debit card uses the Visa® network. Your Servus Member Card® uses the Mastercard® network.

    Some online or cross-border merchants may accept one network but not the other. This means your Servus Member Card® may not be accepted by every merchant that accepted your former connectFirst Visa® Debit card.

    If a merchant does not accept your Servus Member Card, you will need to use another payment method.

    Your Servus Member Card® will provide access to the accounts connected to that card.

    The way your accounts are connected to your Servus Member Card® may differ from your former connectFirst Visa® Debit card. After conversion, review which account is selected when you make a purchase or withdrawal.

    If a transaction is processed through a different account than you expected, contact us so we can review how your card is set up.

    You may receive more than one Servus Member Card® if:

    • You had more than one former connectFirst Visa® Debit card connected to different memberships, such as separate personal and business memberships; or
    • You already have a Servus Member Card® and receive another card for your former connectFirst membership.

    Receiving more than one card does not necessarily mean that a card was issued in error. Each card may provide access to different accounts.

    Keep each card with the letter it arrived with so you know which membership it is intended for.

    If you expected a Servus Member Card® but did not receive one, contact Servus before conversion to confirm your mailing address and report that the card did not arrive.

    Continue using your former connectFirst Visa® Debit card until Servus provides further instructions.

    After conversion:
    • If you need a card right away, visit a Servus branch to receive an instant card.
    • If you do not need a card right away, contact the Member Contact Centre to request a personalized card by mail.

    Payments, transfers and cheques

    Existing direct deposits to your former connectFirst account, such as payroll, pension and government payments, will automatically redirect to your new Servus account.

    You do not need to contact existing payers or give them your new Servus account information because of the conversion.

    Existing payments withdrawn directly from your former connectFirst account, such as utility bills, insurance premiums and mortgage or loan payments, will automatically redirect to your new Servus account.

    You do not need to make any changes or contact your existing billers because of the conversion.

    The only exception is any recurring payment charged to the 16-digit number on your former connectFirst Visa® Debit card. Once your new Servus Member Card® is ready to use, give the business your new card number so the payments can continue.

    Existing payments withdrawn directly from your former connectFirst account, such as utility bills, insurance premiums and mortgage or loan payments, will automatically redirect to your new Servus account.

    You do not need to make any changes or contact your existing billers because of the conversion.

    The only exception is recurring payments charged to your card number. If a recurring payment uses the 16 digit number on your former connectFirst Visa® Debit Card, give the business your new Servus Member Card® number once your new card is ready to use so the payments can continue.

    Your existing bill payees will move to Servus online and mobile banking.

    Before conversion, take a screenshot of your bill payee list so you have an easy reference. After conversion, review the list to make sure the payees you use are available.

    If you currently pay bills from accounts in both connectFirst and Servus online and mobile banking, you may see duplicate payees after conversion. Before making a payment, confirm that you have selected the correct payee and account. Remove a duplicate only after confirming which entry you want to keep.

    Your existing scheduled bill payments will continue automatically after conversion, so you will not need to set them up again.

    After conversion, take a moment to review your upcoming payments and make sure the biller, amount and payment date are correct

    Transfers scheduled between your former connectFirst accounts are expected to continue after conversion.

    After conversion, take a moment to review your scheduled transfers and make sure the accounts, amount and transfer date are correct. If a transfer does not appear as expected, contact us and we’ll help you review it.

    Your former connectFirst Interac e-Transfer® recipient list will move to Servus online and mobile banking.

    Before conversion, take a screenshot of your recipient list so you have an easy reference. After conversion, take a moment to review the list and make sure the people and businesses you send money to are available

    Your former connectFirst Interac e-Transfer® profile will become the profile you use after conversion. Recipients saved only in your existing Servus profile will not be retained.

    Before conversion, take a screenshot of the recipients in your Servus profile so you have an easy reference. After conversion, you can use it to quickly add back anyone who is missing.

    We’re taking care to move your former connectFirst recipient information accurately. If the same person or business appears more than once after conversion, simply review the entries and remove any duplicates you no longer need.

    Your detailed history of Interac e-Transfers® sent and received through connectFirst online and mobile banking will not move to Servus online and mobile banking.

    Before conversion, take screenshots of any records you may want to keep, including the recipient, email address, message or transfer status.

    Your previous statements will continue to show the Interac e-Transfer® transactions posted to your account, but they will not show these additional details.

    Your Interac e-Transfer® limits may be different after conversion.

    To review your limits, sign in to Servus online or mobile banking and go to Interac e-Transfer® → Send e-Transfer® → View your sending limits. You will see the daily, weekly and monthly limits available to you.

    If the available limits do not meet your needs, contact us after conversion and we’ll review them with you.

    Fees will depend on the Servus account and transaction involved.

    You can find the fees that apply after conversion here [account information and transaction-and-service-fee table]. If you need help understanding which fees apply to your account, contact us and we’ll be happy to walk through them with you.

    If you use Interac Sign-In Service to access another organization’s website, such as the Canada Revenue Agency, simply use your Servus online-banking credentials after conversion. You will not need to create a separate sign-in.

    After conversion, you can make Alberta Finance payments directly through the bill-payment section of Servus online or mobile banking. This means you will no longer need to use a separate third-party website, making it easier to manage these payments alongside your other banking.

    Business members will be able to make most Canada Revenue Agency payments through bill payments in Servus online banking. This will make it easier to manage these payments alongside your other business banking.

    Yes. You can continue using your existing former connectFirst cheques until you run out.

    You do not need to order new cheques because of the conversion. Post-dated cheques you have already written will continue to be processed. New cheques ordered after conversion will use your Servus account information.

    Personal and small-business online and mobile banking

    Yes. Former connectFirst personal and small-business members will move to Servus online and mobile banking. We will provide first-sign-in instructions and any steps you need to take before the service becomes available.

    Complete your first sign-in through Servus online banking. Do not use the Servus mobile app for your first sign-in.

    Go to Servus online banking.

    Sign in using your existing connectFirst user ID and password.

    Follow the on-screen steps to complete your first-time setup and set up multifactor authentication.

    Review the accounts shown in your profile.

    Most personal and small business members will follow these steps. If different instructions apply to you, we will contact you directly.

    Sign in with your current connectFirst user ID (not debit card number) and password.

    Yes. After conversion, you will use the Servus mobile app. The connectFirst mobile app will no longer be used for your banking. First, complete your first sign-in through Servus online banking.

    Do not use the Servus mobile app for your first sign-in. After completing first-time setup online, download the Servus mobile app to continue banking on your mobile device.

    A valid email address is required to bring your connectFirst digital banking information across to Servus online banking. If you do not have an email address in your online banking profile, you will not be able to sign in to mobile or online banking after conversion.

    Sign in to Servus online banking on a web browser and edit your profile:

    Online banking: Dashboard → Settings → Contact details.

    For the time being, contact details cannot be updated in the Servus mobile app. If you do not have access to a web browser, contact the Member Contact Centre or visit any Servus branch and we can update your details for you.

    A phone number is used for SMS multifactor authentication (MFA) and is required to sign in for the first time. This allows you to receive your verification code by text (mobile) or voice call (landline). Once you sign in for the first time, you can edit your authentication method.

    You need to know your user ID (not your debit card number) and password and confirm that you can sign in with those credentials before conversion weekend. This will help ensure your first sign-in after conversion goes smoothly. If you use biometrics (for example, FaceID or fingerprint on your mobile device) to sign in to the mobile app, you will need to enter your user ID and password the first time you sign in. After your first sign in, you can set up biometrics in the new app.

    No. You must sign in using your current user ID and password. Your debit card number will not work.

    Your user ID can be found in your online banking profile.

    Sign in to your online banking:
    Online: Go to My Dashboard → Profile details
    Mobile: Go to More → Profile and settings

    Don't worry. Your accounts are safe. Some members with multiple memberships will need to sign in a couple of times to get their profile completely loaded.

    Profile linking is a convenient feature in Servus mobile and online banking. It allows you to sign in once and access all your Servus memberships. You can easily switch between your banking memberships without signing out and signing in again.

    There could be a couple of reasons for this. Your delegates may not have an email address on file or they may be using the same credentials to sign in to different memberships. The structure of small business accounts is different in the new banking system, including the way delegates are set up. Some delegates may need to be added again after conversion. Please call the Member Contact Centre after conversion and we will be happy to add your delegates for you.

    Visit our knowledge centre to learn about all the features in your new mobile and online banking.

    Commercial Online Banking

    Yes. Your online banking will move to the Servus Commercial Online Banking platform.

    If you use connectFirst Commercial Online Banking, your Servus relationship team will contact you directly with information about the move to Servus Commercial Online Banking and any training your administrators may need.

    Administrators: If you are an administrator moving from connectFirst Commercial Online Banking, you will be contacted and trained on Servus Commercial Online Banking before conversion. After conversion, you will receive a welcome email with instructions to create your credentials and sign in for the first time. You will then be able to add your users.

    Users: If you are a user moving from connectFirst Commercial Online Banking, your administrator will first need to add you to Servus Commercial Online Banking. You will then receive a welcome email with instructions to create your credentials and sign in for the first time.

    Visit our knowledge centre to learn about all the features in your commercial online banking.

    Members with Servus and connectFirst accounts

    Your existing Servus accounts are not directly affected by the conversion. The changes explained in these FAQs apply to your accounts originally with connectFirst.

    Your existing Servus membership and your membership originally with connectFirst will remain separate. You will keep your existing Servus member number and receive a new Servus member number for your membership originally with connectFirst.

    Before conversion: We will provide first-time sign-in instructions for members who currently use both Servus and connectFirst online and mobile banking.

    After conversion: Your accounts that have always been with Servus and your accounts originally with connectFirst will appear together in Servus online and mobile banking. Your memberships will remain separate.

    For your first sign-in: Follow the instructions provided by Servus, complete the on-screen steps to set up multifactor authentication and review the accounts shown.

    You may have more than one Servus Member Card® if you already have a card for your existing Servus membership and receive another card to replace a connectFirst Visa® Debit card.

    Each card may provide access to different accounts. Keep each card with the letter it arrived with so you know which membership it is intended for.

    If you are unsure which accounts a card accesses, contact us and we will help you review it.

    Your connectFirst Interac e-Transfer® profile will become the profile you use after conversion. Recipients saved only in your existing Servus profile will not be retained.

    Before conversion, take a screenshot of the recipients in your Servus profile so you have an easy reference. After conversion, you can use it to quickly add back anyone who is missing.

    We are taking care to move your connectFirst recipient information accurately. If the same person or business appears more than once after conversion, review the entries and remove any duplicates you no longer need.

    If your accounts have always been with Servus, your accounts and products are not changing as part of conversion.

    There will be no changes to your everyday banking, including:

    Your accounts, balances and ownership

    Your Servus Member Card®

    Your online and mobile banking

    Your statements

    Your lending products

    Your ability to bank at any Servus branch

    During conversion weekend: Some banking services will be temporarily unavailable. Servus online and mobile banking will be unavailable, and you will not be able to send or receive Interac e-Transfers®, make bill payments or transfer money between accounts.

    Your Servus Member Card® is expected to work. As a precaution, have cash or a credit card available in case you experience an unexpected issue.

    Your money will remain safe and secure throughout.

    Business and agriculture banking

    Business and agriculture chequing and savings accounts originally with connectFirst will move automatically to comparable Servus accounts. Account balances will also transfer automatically.

    Your new account may have a different name, features, transaction limits, minimum-balance requirements, interest structure or fees. You do not need to open a replacement account or take any action before conversion.

    After conversion, review your new account and how it works for your business or agricultural operation. If another Servus account would better meet your needs, contact us and we will help you review your options.

    Use the business and agriculture account-comparison information on Servus.ca/BankingUpdates to find your current connectFirst account and the Servus account it will move to.

    The comparison information also explains the pricing, transaction allowances, minimum-balance requirements and other features that will apply after conversion.

    For some Servus business and agriculture accounts, both deposits and withdrawals count toward the transactions included each month.

    This means your monthly transaction total may be different even if your banking activity has not changed. Depending on your account and transaction volume, this may also affect your monthly fee.

    After conversion, review how transactions are counted on your new account. If you need help understanding your account activity or fees, contact us and we will review them with you.

    After conversion, review your new account, including its features, transaction limits, minimum-balance requirements and fees.

    If another Servus account would better suit your business or agricultural operation, contact your advisor, a Servus branch, the Business Banking Centre or the Member Contact Centre. We will review your banking needs with you and help you explore your options.

    Agricultural Negotiated and Commercial Optimizer accounts originally with connectFirst will move to a Servus Business Custom Plan.

    Your account name, account number and how the account appears in online banking and on statements will change. Your existing custom-pricing arrangement is expected to continue under the Business Custom Plan.

    You do not need to take any action before conversion.

    ConnectFirst Community Account and Community Strong accounts will move automatically to the Servus Community Plan.

    After conversion:
    • Both deposits and withdrawals will count toward the transactions included each month;
    • Fees may apply if you exceed the number of included transactions; and
    • The chequing account will no longer earn interest.

    You do not need to take any action before conversion. After conversion, review your account and contact us if another option may better meet your organization’s needs.

    Lawyers Trust accounts will remain Lawyers Trust accounts. Realtors Trust accounts will move to Servus Real Estate Trust accounts.

    Your account will move automatically. You may notice a different account number, account name or presentation in online banking and on statements, but you do not need to open a replacement account or take any action before conversion.

    Other banking services and registered products

    Your registered products will move automatically to the Servus banking system. Your balance, ownership and existing beneficiary instructions will continue.

    You do not need to reopen your registered products or take any action for them to move.

    You may notice a different product name or a different way the product appears in Servus online and mobile banking or on your statement. A different name or presentation does not change your ownership or balance.

    No. Existing beneficiary designations and other beneficiary instructions will remain in place and continue to be honoured after conversion.

    You do not need to contact us because of conversion. If you would like to review or update your beneficiary information for another reason, contact us and we will be happy to help.

    Yes. Statements for RRSPs, RRIFs, TFSAs and FHSAs will be produced quarterly instead of semi-annually.

    If you receive electronic statements and we have your current email address, you will receive a notification when a new statement is available.

    The change in statement timing does not affect your registered-product balance or ownership.

    Your safety deposit box will remain at its current location. Your box number, access rights and rental agreement will continue as they do today.

    The annual fee-collection schedule will change. Your next annual fee payment will be due in September 2027.

    You do not need to sign a new agreement or take any action because of conversion.

    Yes. Your coverdraft protection will continue after conversion, and you do not need to set it up again.

    If you currently have more than three coverdraft accounts linked to one account, only three may remain linked after conversion. After conversion, review your setup and contact us if you would like to confirm or change the accounts that are linked.

    After conversion: reviewing your banking and getting help

    Once banking services are available again, take some time to review:

    • The accounts and products shown in Servus online and mobile banking;
    • Your account balances and recent transactions;
    • Your bill payees and scheduled bill payments;
    • Your scheduled transfers;
    • Your Interac e-Transfer® recipients and Autodeposit registration;
    • Your account fees, transaction limits and minimum-balance requirements;
    • The accounts connected to your Servus Member Card®;
    • Access for anyone authorized to use your business accounts.

    Some information may be organized or displayed differently after conversion. A different account name, number, grouping or presentation does not necessarily mean that something is wrong.

    If an account, balance, transaction or access arrangement does not appear as expected, contact us and we will review it with you.

    If you experience an unexpected impact as a result of the conversion, contact us within the first 60 days. We’ll work with you to make it right.

    First, review all the memberships and accounts shown in Servus online and mobile banking. Accounts may be grouped or displayed differently than they were in connectFirst digital banking.

    If you still cannot find an account you expect to see, contact us. We will confirm your identity and help you review your account information.

    Review your recent transactions and the full account information. Some balances, particularly lending balances, may be displayed differently in the Servus banking system.

    If the amount still appears incorrect or you see a transaction you do not recognize, contact us and we will review it with you.

    Review the biller or recipient, amount, payment date and account used.

    Payments and deposits scheduled during conversion weekend are expected to be processed once the banking systems are available again. If a payment or transfer still does not appear as expected, contact us and we will help you review it.

    After conversion, review your new account, including its features, transaction limits, minimum-balance requirements, interest and fees.

    If another Servus account would better suit your needs, contact us. We will review your banking needs with you and help you explore your options.

    Visit the Servus Mobile and Online Banking Support Centre for information about signing in, multi-factor authentication, account notifications, statements, transaction history and other common banking tasks.

    If you cannot sign in or an account you expect to see is missing, contact us for help.

    You can contact the Member Contact Centre or visit any Servus branch.

    For help with a business, agriculture or commercial account, you can also contact your advisor, Relationship Manager or the Business Banking Centre.
