Canada Learning Bond
The Canada Learning Bond program was introduced to help middle income families save for their children's education.
- The Government of Canada will contribute a $500 bond to RESPs opened by families receiving the National Child Benefit Supplement
- The Government will provide grants of $100 per year while the family remains eligible for the National Child Benefit Supplement , until the beneficiary is 15 years of age
- To be eligible the beneficiary must be a Canadian resident who was born on or after January 1, 2004, and have a social insurance number.
