For members with accounts from both Servus and connectFirst
The changes to accounts originally with connectFirst will apply to those accounts. Your accounts that have always been with Servus are not changing as part of the conversion.
After conversion, your Servus accounts and accounts originally with connectFirst will appear together when you sign in to Servus mobile and online banking.
Your memberships will remain separate. You will keep your existing Servus member number, and your membership originally with connectFirst will receive a new Servus member number.
Conversion weekend is coming.
The changes will take place over a single conversion weekend. We'll confirm the dates two weeks ahead. During conversion weekend, some banking services will be temporarily unavailable. What to expect during conversion weekend
What is changing for your accounts originally from connectFirst
The accounts, cards and services you originally had with connectFirst will move to the Servus banking system during conversion weekend.
Some details may change, including account names and numbers, account features and fees, your debit card, statements, and how some payments and mobile and online banking features work. Your accounts that have always been with Servus are not directly affected by these changes.
What to do before and after conversion
Signing in after conversion
After conversion, you'll use Servus mobile and online banking to view and manage your accounts.
Your accounts that have always been with Servus and your accounts originally with connectFirst will appear together in one view. Your two memberships will remain separate.
When you first sign in:
- Follow the first-time sign-in instructions provided by Servus
- Complete the on-screen steps to set up multi-factor authentication
- Review the accounts shown
- Contact us if an account is missing or something does not look right
Before conversion
Complete these steps before conversion weekend to prepare for your first sign-in:
- Sign in to connectFirst mobile or online banking using your user ID and password. Do not use fingerprint or facial recognition for this sign-in
- Make sure you know your connectFirst user ID. You will not be able to sign in using your debit card number after conversion
- Make sure the email address and phone number in your connectFirst mobile and online banking profile are current
- If you do not have a phone number in your profile, add one before conversion. You will need a phone number to receive a verification code when setting up multi-factor authentication
- Watch your connectFirst online banking inbox for information from Servus
Find your user ID
You can find your user ID in your connectFirst mobile and online banking profile:
- Online banking: Sign in and go to My Dashboard → Profile details
- Mobile banking: Sign in and go to More → Profile
Before conversion, we'll provide first-time sign-in instructions for members who currently use both Servus and connectFirst mobile and online banking.
Viewing your accounts after conversion
After you sign in, your existing Servus accounts and your accounts originally from connectFirst will appear together in one Servus digital banking view.
Seeing your accounts together does not mean your memberships or accounts have been combined. Your memberships will remain separate.
When you first sign in:
- review the accounts shown;
- check that the accounts you expect to see are available; and
- contact us if an account is missing or something does not look right.
This is your own history. No additional information is being shared, and access to your accounts is not extended to any other person. If you see accounts or transactions from earlier periods, this is expected. No information has been added or removed.
Your member numbers
You will continue to have a separate member number for each membership:
- Your existing Servus member number will stay the same
- Your membership originally with connectFirst will receive a new Servus member number during conversion
Your Servus Member Cards®
If you already have a Servus Member Card® and receive another one to replace your connectFirst Visa® Debit Card, keep both cards.
Each card may provide access to different accounts because each card remains associated with a separate membership. Keep the new card with the letter it arrived with so you know which membership it is intended for.
If you are unsure which accounts a card accesses, contact us and we can help you review it. Do not destroy your connectFirst Visa® Debit Card until Servus confirms that you no longer need it.
Bill payees
Your connectFirst bill payees will move to Servus mobile and online banking.
If you currently have bill payees saved in both connectFirst and Servus mobile and online banking, you may see duplicate payees after conversion. Before making a payment, check the payee and account you selected. Remove a duplicate only after confirming which entry you want to keep.
Before conversion, take a screenshot of your bill payee lists so you can easily check them afterward.
Interac e-Transfer recipients
Your connectFirst Interac e-Transfer profile will become the profile you use after conversion.
Recipients saved only in your existing Servus profile will not be retained. Before conversion, take a screenshot of the recipients saved in your Servus profile. After conversion, use it to add back anyone who is missing.
If the same person or business appears more than once after conversion, review the entries before removing any duplicates.
