No. Open a Personal Essential or Premium Unlimited account, set up direct deposit, and you're in. From there, the savings rate and Mastercard offers are yours to add whenever you're ready(within the promotion dates)
Absolutely. You can split however you like between Non-Registered, TFSA, and RRSP. You'll need a minimum of $5,000 per account to earn the promotional rate, with a maximum of $500,000 combined.
Once your 6 months are up, your account continues as a standard Premium Savings account at the regular interest rate. A Servus advisor can show you the current rate so you know exactly what to expect when the promotional period ends. Note – interest rates are subject to change so it’s good to check our website for the most current rates.

Chequing Reward
The eligible member must open a Personal Essential Plan or Personal Premium Unlimited Plan chequing account with Servus Credit Union during the offer period. The chequing account must receive three (3) payroll direct deposit, each being equal to or greater than $1,000 per month, within 120 days of the account opening date. The first payroll direct deposit transaction must be within 30 days of account opening. $250 cash incentive will be credited to the chequing account following these requirements being met and upon verification period of up to 60 days by Servus Credit Union.
Savings Promotional Account
The eligible member must complete all requirements for the "Chequing Reward" to receive incentives for the Savings Promotional Account. Promotional interest rate of 4.25% for 6 months (calculated as 180 days) from account opening date on new funds only. The account must be opened during the offer period. The last day to deposit is May 30th, 2026. Deposits must result in overall balance increases held by the member from March 27th, 2026. Funds from other Servus Credit Union memberships cannot be transferred or combined. Non-registered, Tax-Free Savings Account ("TFSA"), and Registered Retirement Savings Plan ("RRSP" or "RSP") accounts held in Canadian dollars only. Interest will be paid on new deposit balances between $5,000.00 to $500,000.00 per member only. Interest will not be paid if any of these requirements are not met. Standard rates will apply after the promotional interest rate period. Interest rates are subject to change at any time without advance notification.
Mastercard Bundled Offer
The eligible member must complete all requirements for the "Chequing Reward" to receive the Servus Mastercard® Bundle Offer. The Servus Mastercard® Bundle Offer is not available to existing Servus Mastercard cardholders.
