Following the historic merger between Servus and connectFirst Credit Unions, the newly created Connect First and Servus Credit Union Ltd. (CFSCU) is marking its first reporting period with sound financial health. The merger was finalized on May 1, 2024.

Servus Credit Union is announcing a donation of $30,000 for relief and recovery efforts to support the Town of Jasper and surrounding communities following the wildfires that devastated the region in July 2024, and which continue to burn.

Following several consecutive quarters of strong performance and growth, Servus Credit Union Ltd. (Servus) achieved significant asset growth in its second quarter of fiscal 2024, reaching $21.1 billion in total assets, up 10.5% from the same period last year.

ConnectFirst and Servus credit unions have each been recognized as recipients of the prestigious Canada's Best Managed Companies award and as members of the Platinum Club, which recognizes winners that have maintained their Best Managed status for seven years or more.

In a landmark move for cooperative banking in Alberta, Servus and connectFirst Credit Unions proudly announce that their merger closed on May 1. This announcement follows approval from the Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation and more than 84 per cent of each credit union’s membership.
