(Calgary, Alberta) – At the Annual General Meeting on March 7, 2018 Servus Credit Union announced the election of five members to its Board of Directors: new directors Danielle Ghai and Matthew Protti join returning incumbents Iris Evans, Darcy Mykytyshyn and Doug Hastings. The directors were elected by eligible member-owners from a slate of eight candidates.

  • Bernie Klammer - 864

Servus is transitioning from 3-year terms to 4-year terms for all directors. In order to make the transition, for the 2018, 2019 and 2020 elections directors elected will serve varying terms. Danielle Ghai, Iris Evans and Darcy Mykytyshyn will serve four year terms. Matthew Protti will serve a three year term and Doug Hastings for two years.

The board re-elected John Lamb as Board Chair and Amy Corrigan as Vice Chair at their first meeting today.
Chosen to lead committees were:

  • Audit & Finance – Doug Bristow
  • Enterprise Risk Management – Doug Hastings
  • Governance & Human Resources – Dianne Brown
  • Nominating – Simon Neigum

Representing Servus Credit Union on the Board of Credit Union Central of Alberta are Iris Evans, Perry Dooley and Doug Hastings.

Each year four board members are elected to the 12-member Board of Directors. Due to the unfortunate passing of Penny Reeves in May 2017, the 2018 election elected five members. Doug Hastings, who placed fifth, will serve on the board for the remaining two years of Reeves' term. Continuing their terms on the Servus Credit Union Board of Directors are: Doug Bristow, Dianne Brown, Amy Corrigan, Jonathon Holt, John Lamb, Simon Neigum and Perry Dooley.

Subject to eligibility criteria set out in the Alberta Credit Union Act and the Servus Credit Union bylaws, all Servus member-owners may participate in the Board election by running for the Board and voting for the candidates.
