Community Engagement COVID-19 FAQs

At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their patience while we navigate these fluid and uncertain circumstances. We have temporarily suspended our application for support.

To help, we have created a list of FAQs. We don’t know when we’ll be back online, but we look forward to hearing from you soon.

  1. Why is Servus not taking online applications for sponsorship at this time?

    With most public events being canceled or postponed, and a number of our partners closing their doors to the public, we have decided to temporarily suspend Servus’s online application form.

  2. If our organization received a sponsorship from Servus, but we had to cancel or postpone our event or program due to COVID-19 safety recommendations, do we have to return the sponsorship to Servus?

    With such an unprecedented circumstance, Servus does not require our partners to return sponsorship funding that was already granted to them in 2020. We are hoping that our partners will be able to put these funds towards sponsorship of a future event, or program. Please contact the Servus staff member that you dealt with to discuss this further.

  3. We submitted a sponsorship request to Servus and have not received a response yet to our application, why?

    Servus has decided to hold off on making any decisions on pending requests at this time, due to the large number of events, attractions and programs that have been cancelled or postponed.

    Servus is paying attention to the urgent needs of our communities throughout the province. We will assess these needs as they arise and determine an appropriate course of action. We need some time to understand the urgency of critical care agencies and how Servus might be able to help them in this unique situation.

  4. Will Servus be making any contributions to community agencies during this difficult time?

    Although we have temporarily suspended our online application process, we are carefully monitoring the communities where we have branches. We want our Community Engagement fund to be used in a thoughtful and impactful way to help the most people in the communities we serve. Therefore, we are working with community leaders to assess what is needed and how we can possibly help the communities in which we live and work.
